Choose a Pouch Laminator with Appropriate Thickness
If you are planning to use a pouch laminator, it is important to know what pouch thickness the laminator can accept. Since laminating pouches can vary in thickness, you must know the recommended level for what you wish to laminate. For example, single documents, such as certificates, would use a thin laminate of about 80 micron. Menus, file dividers, and business cards, on the other hand, would need up to a 250 micron laminate, or 125 micron on each side. Anybody who has experience in using a pouch laminator can tell you that sometimes things happen to jam the machine, so it is important not to complicate matters by using the wrong thickness of pouch.
